Dr. Rajesh R. Rathwa has been serving as an assistant professor in the Department of Hindi at Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra. He obtained his M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar Anand. Along with all these, he also obtained a degree in B.music. During his doctoral studies, he received the Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF) from UGC. In national and international conferences and seminars, he has actively participated and presented a research paper or article. Over thirty research papers and articles have been published by Dr. Rathwa in reputable journals. Additionally, he has composed five books.
He has presented as a knowledgeable guest speaker at numerous national and international seminars and conferences.
Working at Tejgadh and Bhasha Research Center brought the oral heritage closer to Dr. Rathwa, who chose oral literature for his doctoral program. He came to the conclusion that two traditions need to be brought closer together and that complementary aspects can enhance our literary tradition when studying creative literature at the college and university levels. It also shows how the literary world can communicate with the traditional literary area. As a result, his academic goal is to study oral literature and folktales. He has the potential to contribute in this way to the literary tradition. This field will undoubtedly be helpful to obtain a respectable place in the academic world as he imagines the possibility of obtaining a place in the literary and intellectual world.
Dr. Rathwa is a researcher at the Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL) in Mysore, working in the Department of Linguistics. At NCERT, the Regional Institute of Education, Bhopal, he conducted research on Gujarati tribes' children's literature. He worked on an anthropological study of the Pargi community's art and traditional way of life in Gujarat. Also, he worked as a director in the MHRD project for Endangered Languages of Gujarat: Documentary Film 2019. Dr. Rathwa was a faculty member for diploma courses conducted at Bhasha Research Centre, Tejgarh, in collaboration with IGNOU, besides teaching. Apart from his teaching, he did research at the L.L.F. Language Learning Foundation in Delhi. He has been involved in the Central Government project of Gujarat Vidyapith, ‘Rediscovering Gandhi at Sabarmati Ashram.’
He worked at Gujarat Vidyapith in Ahmedabad as a research associate. Research for the project is ongoing. The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) report ‘Philosophy of Life as Reflected in Tribal Literature: A Study of Folktales based on the Life of the Bhil Community in Gujarat.’
