Dr. Jagdish Bheda has been serving as a Temporary Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Shri Govind Guru University, Vinzol, Godhra, since July 2024. Previously, He worked as a counselor at the Mansa Child Development Center (2022), providing psychological support to clients across Gujarat.
Dr. Bheda holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Saurashtra University (2024), an M.Phil. from Gujarat University (2020), and both a Master’s in Psychology (2019) and an MHRM degree (2017) from Sardar Patel University. His academic and research interests span across Research Methodology, Clinical Psychology, Social Psychology, and Experimental Psychology. His research work is focused on Health Psychology and Positive Psychology, contributing to the understanding of mental well-being.
In recognition of his remarkable doctoral research in Maternal Mental Health, Dr. Bheda was honored with Dr. Mafatlal Patel Sanshodhan Paritoshik (2024). He also qualified for GSET in 2021. Actively engaged in academic discourse, he has presented at numerous conferences and has published four research papers in reputed journals. Dedicated to professional growth, he has participated in various Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and Workshops, including a 10-day Research Methodology Workshop jointly organized by ICSSR and Sardar Patel University (2021).
Dr. Bheda has also received formal training in counseling and psychotherapy and holds a certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In addition to his teaching responsibilities at the Department of Psychology, Shri Govind Guru University, he serves as the Laboratory In-Charge and actively contributes to administrative duties, further enriching the academic environment of the department.
