Dr. Ashok B. Trivedi is currently serving as the Professor and Head of the Department of Economics at Shri Govind Guru University. With 21 years of teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, he has also earned a Ph.D. Guide ship. Under his mentorship, two students have successfully completed their Ph.D. degrees, and four others are currently pursuing their research.
Dr. Trivedi has undertaken five research projects sponsored by prominent organizations, including the Rajkot Engineering Association, Pidilite Gram Nirman Samaj Mahuva, Jasvant Maheta Foundation, Sardar Patel Institute of Economic and Social Research, UGC and Tata International Water Management in Colombo.
He holds executive membership in the Gujarat Economic Association and is a life member of the Indian Economic Association, Indian Labour Economic Association, and Indian Economics and Allied Science Association. Additionally, he has contributed his expertise as a consultant for the Rural Development Agency in Bhavnagar and authored a chapter in the Gazette of Mahisagar District.
Dr. Trivedi's areas of specialization include Rural Development, International Economics, and Macroeconomics, with a primary research interest in Rural Development. He has also served as a member of the Board of Studies at Kutch University, Baba Saheb Ambedkar Open University and Birsa Munda Tribal University.
His contributions extend beyond academia. As a National Service Scheme (NSS) Program Officer, he has dedicated 17 years to community service across various colleges. Dr. Trivedi has published 27 research papers in esteemed journals, seminars, and conferences. He has authored three books and co-authored six others, showcasing his dedication to knowledge sharing and academic excellence.
He is also frequently invited to share his insights as an expert speaker at various institutions, reflecting his reputation as a respected economist and educator.
