Dr Shemal Mevada is serving as an Assistant Professor at Department of English at Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU), Vinzol, Godhra.
He has earned M.A., B.Ed. (English), MPhil (ELT) and Ph.D. from Sardar Patel University. Prior to joining SGGU, Dr Mevada taught at the UG and PG level for 8 years. He is also a recognized Ph.D. guide at CVM University, Vallabh Vidyanagar. 16 students have completed their masters’ dissertation and presently 4 students are pursuing Ph.D. with his guidance. He has published several research articles and books. He is also a translator.
Dr Mevada has been a part of a project titled “Madhayam Gujarati – Uttam Angreji”, an initiative by Niranjan Bhagat Foundation in collaboration with Ahmedabad University and IIM Ahmedabad.
His areas of interest are Language Studies, Post-method Pedagogy, Materials Development, Academic Writing, Research Methodology and Criticism.
